I have windows 7 starter can i download itunes?

I recently bought an ipod nano 7th generation. I have a sony netbook with windows starter 7. I tried to download itunes to get music onto the ipod but it wont let me! The computer is saying it has set policies against this? Is there any earlier itunes i could download or am I doomed to stick with listening to the radio on my new ipod? 😟
