How to make entire image of pic show on iMovie?

I made a video/slide show of pictures all on iMovie. It begins with an actual video then proceeds to photos from iPhoto. Everything is fine except that the pictures when playing they dont show the entire photo. Also it kind of bobs. I just want each transition to show the entire picture and it seems that it wont show the whole image. How do I make the image fit or stop it from bobbing to make the entire picture show. ?

sorry, actually do this:

In iMovie, go to FILE>PROJECT PROPERTIES and you should see the word Ken-Burns on the page that comes up. Click on it and a menu will open. Choose "fit to screen." 🙂

Your pictures are most likely a different aspect ratio from your movie clips, so when you show the entire picture, there will be black space on the sides or above. This is called Letterboxing.

You can change all the pictures at once.

First select a picture and use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool on the middle toolbar. Choose FIT in the tool.

Now, with that photo selected, click EDIT/COPY (or Command-C).

Next, hold down the command key and click on the other photos you want to change, so they are all selected.

If you want to select everything in the movie, use Command-A to select all.

Finally, click EDIT/PASTE ADJUSTMENTS/CROP ADJUSTMENTS. This will apply the FIT selection to all the photos you just selected.
