Mysterious folder name "A" folder created an OS system won't finish stating up
This is happening on a PowerPc G5. Tiger OS. Computer starts up OS and progress bar goes all the way to right but stays on and won't finish starting. I pulled out the drive and viewed it on another Mac as a second drive. I found a folder simply labeled "A" with nothing in it. I deleted it and then reinstalled the drive. The OS started up just fine and was back to normal. I shut it down and when I tried to start it the same thing happened with not finishing start up. I pulled it put again and looked at the drive and once again the "A" folder was back. Anyone know what's causing this folder to be created? I had a client bring in a brand new Sandisk flash drive and after using it once this started happening. I suspect the flash drive caused the problem. I looked through the application folder but did not find any newly installed software.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
