I mistakenly put in the wrong wifi password

I mistakenly put in the wrong wifi password for my home network and now I get the message "unable to join". I have turned 'off', then turned 'on' the wifi setting, and 'ask to join', and driven around the block. If I say "forget the network" how will I connect?
