Bluetooth unsuccessful device research

I just bought two iphone 5 and i wanted to connect them with each other via bluetooth. I turned on their BT and both of them could not find any device. They both found nothing. So is there any setting for BT? I am quite new on iphone. I heard about celeste. But in the headline there writes BT hack. I don't want to install anything like hack to my mobile.
