Battery for iPhone 5 is weak.

I just got an iPhone 5 32gb. The battery life as compared to my earlier blackberry bold 2 is very poor.

It needs a charge by evening 6 pm. Further the phone gets hot while talking for long.

My wifi, navigation, etc services are off despite this the phone has poor battery life.

I am shocked and fell I am being sold a lemon. Help.
