oh thanks. I was sync ing my ipod touch. I accidentally upgradeed it to OS 5 or sth. Then it doesn't work anymore. I can switch it on, but no responses. I can not do anything on the screen.
Have you tried a reset as described in the basics section of the manual?

i tried. I reset and restored. everything was lost. still no responses 😟

Really not sure what you are saying your issue is.
The problem is it can be turned on. but the screen is not responding.
so i suspect its because i upgraded the OS.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
