Can anyone tell me how to solve my scan problem with my new HP Officejet 6700 Premium? I am running Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.2 which does not support this particular printer. Downloaded the driver that HP offers and all other printer functions work.

I had previously downloaded the HP updates on the software. THe printer works, the fax works. The scanner does not work. When I look at the HP utilities, this particular printer does not even show up as an option to select for scanning. This is my problem.
Did you try Image Capture to scan? the driver for the printer/scanner might not be supported
Where do I find Image Capture to scan?

When I go to Image Capture, the printer name appears, but it says "no document loaded". The printer continues to prompt me to go to HP utilities and select the printer to scan. This printer still does not appear in the list. THis printer give me the option to scan to a flash drive; I have decided to take that option for the time being. Thank you for your suggestion/help.

I have the same problem but scan to a flash drive is not the option... I have to scan massive documents...
I've tried with my Windows 7 computers and Android smartphones and the scanner works fine... only do not works the MacBook Pro Retina with OS 10.9 Maveriks... Neither the webscan works... It downloads a empty PDF... My Image Capture doesn't whork neither....
