Itouch got lost and stolen ):

My itouch was stolen about 4 months ago. How can i locate it without the Find my iphone app? How can i also find out my serial number because i dont remember it? Is there a place where you serial number is stored at? Another thing is that whoever stole it tried to download apps on it but doesnt know my apple password and so itunes has been sending me emails if i forgot my password and stuff, is that something that can help me find my itouch back?
