I have a macbook pro with osx 10.8.2. How do I download appilications off of the net? I've been trying to download and install yahoo messenger for mac multiple times with no success. When I click on the button while in yahoo to start the download, all I get is the dmg file name as a tab on my safari browser. The file never makes to my desktop or the download folder. All help is welcomed. Thank you.

If you click on a download link, the file should be downloaded to your Downloads folder. Can you give us the url from which you're trying to download the Yahoo Messenger app?

When I click on the Yahoo download link, the application that I am trying to install shows up in the url but, nothing is actually downloaded to my desktop or into the download folder???? How do I get it from u\showing as a url to actually a download???
