I have been an amateur radio operator for over 35 years. But I am new to garage band. Could someone tell me how to create a morse code sounding ringtone at a speed of 13 words per minute for my amateur radio call sign in garage band that I can then transfer to my iPhone 4s?

The problem is finding a simple, sine wave bleep sound for the morse signal. GB's instruments are all too complex. So if you have a good sound somewhere that you want to use, assign the Radio Sounds instrument to a software instrument track in GB, open the musical keyboard (cmd-shift-K) and drop the audio file of the beep on one of the keys on the screen. Then hit record and beep away by pressing this key.
That is a great idea, Chriostoph, to use a recorded sample with a custom Sound Effects instrument.
But perhaps one of the Synth Basics instruments will also suffice? I think the "Synth Basic > Circuit Dialogue" instrument comes pretty close to a Morse signal, if played at a high octave, for example the "A5" note.

Too bad, you are right. I did not even notice the repetitions, because I was morsing very quickly ... ... ... 😊
How about the guitars? The "Clean Electric" at C5? Or "Eighties Clean Electric" (JamPack Rhythm Section)?
This all sounds very complicated. I found this website

that allows me to make file that plays what I typed in Safari. When I save it, however, I get only the first letter. If someone can tell me what to do to save as a complete mp3 file (I am unable to contact the people who created it), I can then drag it into garage band, I think, and modify it.

Funny website! I don't know what you did - but I got a long audio file with a lot of letters (couldn't verify them all, excusy my Morse.) What I did was wait for the page with the audio to load and then use "Save as ...".
That is exactly what I did. I typed in CQ N8CGE CQ N8CGE and then clicked on the create an mp3 file. It loaded in Safari and played perfectly there, and then I used "Save as..." with the MP3 file extension and it landed on my desktop. But it played only for a second. I feel like I am getting close....apparently you did something I omitted to do to get your long morse code string to play. If you can step me through settings or perhaps even send me an mp3 file with the above I would be grateful.

Wait for several minutes before you use the "Save as" command. Then the file will download completely.
I entered the text, then clicked to create the mp3 file, then a new page appeared that said click here for the mp3 file which produced yet another page in safari where I could play the 16 seconds of sound perfectly. And then go and make yourself a cup of coffee, take the time to drink it, and after waiting a few minutes click "save as".
Then you should be able to download the full file. What you are hearing before is the audio stream - the page did not yet load fully.
Or maybe try a different browser - I used Firefox and it worked.
I did exactly as you suggested using Firefox, having the cup of coffee, etc. and it worked flawlessly. I was able to create the ringtone in iToons by creating a ACC file and then changing the last letter in the extension of this file in the finder from an "a" to an "r". I am curious though, how do you determine when the download is complete, other than giving it plenty of time?
