Q: Can Mac users take advantage of this functionality?

I have Time Capsule 2TB with a 2TB USB drive attached.

Can I use this backup functionailty or is it for Windows only?

I bought the drive after reading this page and think there should be a big red WINDOWS ONLY warning on it if the answer is no.

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Well considering it's an Apple product, yes. It, in fact, is really Mac only.

The whole point of Time Capsule is a backup target in network for Mac computers with Time Machine... particularly laptops which is why they put it in a wireless router.. a desktop can have external drive plugged in but laptops it is convenient to do it over wireless..

Windows gets at best a passing nod that it exists.
