itunes will automatically upgrade to the latest w/c is iTunes 11 but I only want to upgrade to iTunes 10.7 only

(or any further upgrade OTHER than 11).  How do I do that?  My current iTunes is version 10.6.3

I need to do this because I bought a new Nano which requires that I have 10.7 installed

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Several iPods, iTouch 32GB

It is Safe to Install over Existing...  But...  Would stongly recommend that you Backup your Current Version of iTunes...  Just in case. Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive...  Full Details Here  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751  Be Sure the External drive is Formatted Mac OS Extended (journaled)  An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes.
