how to get volume to work from your mac air to your apple tv
I can get my Mac Air book to come up on the screen with my Apple TV but there is no volume. How am I able to get the volume to work?

Sounds like you are mirroring, set the audio output to apple TV before launching mirror as this often solves this problem.
