Bookmarks disapeared from my phone?

Internet bookmarks previously stored in my phone have disapeared. Also when I try to establish a new one from a web page I am accessing this too does not happen although the web page does appear in the history. It's an iPhone 3G. Help???

How can I import them with itunes?
