Cannot download SKYPE pdf file in Safari
For years now I have been able to download a PDF copy of my Skype invoices. But I tried today both on my MacBook Pro running Mountain lion as well as on my (8 year old Power PC) eMac running Leopard 10.5.8. Neither one worked. I sometimes got a message that Adobe reader wouldn't load but other times just a gray screen page on Safari.
On my MacBook Pro I am still running Adobe reader 9.5.1 as I have tried both versions 10 and 11 and don't like them. I've done a test download of a couple of PDFs and they appear instantly in Safari – it is only Skype that seems to be the problem. I have tried to contact Skype but they have a somewhat obtuse system for submitting support requests. Certainly I will keep trying to contact Skype but I'm really wondering if this isn't possibly a Mac-related problem? Are any others having or have any others had a problem displaying or downloading a pdf in Safari? The Skype PDFs are sent under a secure certificate linked form...
I've been getting these invoices since about the year 2006 so it does seem a little strange that all of a sudden my Mac and Safari wouldn't be able to display that.
Thanks for any comments or assistance.
Best regards,
Steve
