Is Apple losing touch with user friendly?

We have ipod, ipod touch, iPads 1,2,3, iPhones and we went on holiday recently, we had to pack different chargers for each of these items. many years agao, Windows fans swithed to Mac because of its user friendly but I think Apple is losing out on this. Maybe the CEO doesn't use Apple products that much or he would know the frustration.

Considering the diversity of the current product mix, as well as the need to keep each of the prodcut lines moving forward, expecting the same charging requirements and chargers for all products is not even remotely realistic.

Well, the old ipod charger won't charge iPod touch classic, iPhone or iPad and vice versa, eventhough, they look identical in size and color and I had to put labels on them. Just bought an iPad 3 it uses different charger.

Incorrect. The iPad 3 uses exactly the same charger as iPads 1 and 2. Said charger can be used to charge pretty much any iPod or iPhone. I have too older Touches and a Nano. I use my iPad chargers interchangably on all of them.

The cables are all the same unless you have some very, very old iPods that use FireWire or you have an iPad 4, iPhone 5 or iPad Mini which use a lightning cable. The charger is still the same.

OK, I have an iPod 2 and iPod classic chargers, they are identical in size and color but one can't charge the other. iPad 1,2 and iPhones use the same charger. I just bought the new iPad 4 and it uses different charger. I pass down the older gadgets to the kids and I packed three different Apple chargers on our recent trip. I thought, what the H.

All of the above will use the same iPad charger. If they don't there's something defective with your equipment. The newest iPad uses a different cable but the charger is the same. Don't recall if the iPod 2 uses a Firewire cable or not. But, the charger will work. I speak from personal experience, having owned iPods since they were introduced, on my second iPhone and have iPads 1, 2 and 3. Get rid of the defective chargers. Get ones that work and they'll all use the same ones.

Sorry to interrupt, but I think you might be talking past each other. It's true that one chargerwill work for all of these devices. It's also true that some require a different cable. Same charger, different cables. We all face that problem. Check out the Grid-It!

Yup, repeatedly explained that the chargers are the same and the cables may be different.

Trolling? I use one charger for all of my devices but for the new lightning connector cables. I love the new lightning cable. Any device that uses it includes the charger and cable that you need. If you want more or to use them with the 30 pin connection cables, there is an adapter.

I have many appliances that each come with their own cord and A/C adapter. I don't expect them to fit every device that I own that uses a similar adapter/cord.
