Why won't my printer work after a software upgrade?

I have just upgraded from Tiger to Snow Leopard on my imac but my printer (Canon Pixma MG6150) doesn't seem to print anymore. It can print from a pc on the same network and my imac can register that there is a printer on the network but nothing happens when I press print. Can anyone help??

You may have to update the printer driver.

I have installed the driver but still no joy...any other help would be HUGELY appreciated.

When i press print, the job comes up in the queue for about 5 seconds and then disappears.
