How do I get my gmail contacts on my iphone? When it was set up last month and I was asked my email account I gave my personal yahoo, but I need my other account contacts that are in Gmail.

How do I get my gmail contacts on my iphone? When it was set up last month and I was asked my email account I gave my personal yahoo, but I need my other contacts from gmail. I see a place in itunes under the device info where I can select mail accounts to sync from, but it only lists the yahoo account.

iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1

This Apple doc should help ya out -> iOS: Syncing with Google Contacts

Follow these steps to set up contact syncing with Google Contacts:

Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDav Account.

Enter the following information in the fields:

Server: google.com

User Name: Enter your full Google email address

Password: Your Google account password

Select Next at the top of the screen to complete the setup.

After you have completed the setup, open the Contacts app on your device. Syncing should begin automatically.

Additional Information

Note: Make sure that SSL is enabled (under Advanced settings), and that the port is 443.

WOW! That's amazing. Thank you so much. Do you know who I can organize or select these contacts in the groups I have them in on my gmail account? I also purchased the ABContacts app. maybe I need to do that in there if it isn't possible in my phone's contacts.

Anytime.

From what I can tell, it looks like syncing Google contact groups via CardDAV isn't supported yet. Take a look at this Google Groups thread -> Does CardDAV Sync Support Groups?

I think ABC contacts will do that for you, but I haven't used it before. There is a FAQ here -> iPhone ABContacts Application
