If I buy a new mac how do i transfer applications?

I was thinking about buying a mac mini and I want to transfer Logic pro from my old iMac. How do I do that.

I would recommend using your Time Machine backup, connect the drive to your new Mac, and transfer everything over using Setup Assistant (which only runs the very first time you power up your new Mac....you're limited to Migration Assistant if you move things over later on).
