what if the lesson was purchased more than 18 months ago?
I purchased a piano lesson from january 2010 and I can not find it in my purcahses? any one know how to get it back

If you cannot find the Artist lessons in your order history, like described in the support article referenced in the title of this thread, I see no option to download it again for free. Have you searched in your backup? The artist lessons are installed in the system library:
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Learn to Play/
