How can I restart text services without logging out?

I've been fighting with a problem for months, hoping someone can help.

I use text services very heavily as part of my daily workflow.

Every couple of days, services will stop working, and I see errors like this in Console.app:

1/17/13 12:16:50.335 PM LaunchBar: Internal Error: -[NSPasteboard pasteboardWithUniqueName] returned nil

1/17/13 12:17:04.798 PM TextExpander: Failed to create backup pasteboard!

So far, the only way I can fix it is by logging out and logging back in.

I'm assuming the logout/login cycle is stopping and starting some related process as my user, but I can't figure out what that process is.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem when it happens, without logging out and logging back in?
