What is the difference between mac pro early 2008 and 2008? There are specs warning me it won't work on early 2008 but it will on 2008 models when I'm looking for components to buy. Is this true?

There was only one set of Mac Pros released in 2008 - the Early 2008 models. That was the third generation of MP (there was one in 2006, one in 2007), and the next was in early 2009.

you can pull up Apple Support Mac Pro specs easy enough and tell by RAM speed and other items - or go to Everymac.com even.
All we need and what you could have done is taken the top line of System Profile that tells the model.
