The right side of my trackpad can click like normal, but the left side is either stuck or somehow stationary; it doesn't move. My husband's Macbook Pro doesn't do that...his clicks all the way across. How can I fix this?

There are two possible solutiions: One is a VERY thorough cleaning of the trackpad. The second is, if it is an older MBP, the battery which is located underneath the trackpad may have swelled up. Open the MBP and inspect it.
if neither of the above solves the problem, an appointment at the Apple store genius bar would be in order.
