Can I show pictures on my Apple TV (latest version) directly from my computer without using iCloud. I hear that iTunes let's one do this but there seems to be no way I can find out how to do this with the latest version of ITunes. This is so disappointing as it takes forever to download them via iCloud.

Yes you can play anything in iTunes on your computer, but the computer needs to be on.
Completely missed the point. I want to watch pictures on my TV via Apple TV directly streamed from the computer and I do not want to do it via iCloud.
Yes, photos are handled by iTunes for streaming.
How? Latest iTunes doesn't seem to support this
File > Home Sharing > Choose Photos......

Is there any limit no. of pictures in folder that can be used for Screen Saver in ATV?
I have a folder with 4000+ pictures, and everytime when the Screen Saver is on, only a small percentage of pictures was shown and most of them are repeated.
