I can no longer open links from mail to Safari. NONE of them work. Is it a mail problem or a Safari problem? What can I do to fix it? Some are not listed like those in CNET so I cannot cut and paste.

I seldom use the links in mail and don't remember anything being added but updates. I have Safari, Firefox and Chromium installed.
What happens when you click on the link, exactly?
Have you checked/set your default browser in Safari Preferences, General?
Default browser is set correctly. Many links are now working (just started) but some like C-Net don't do anything. Click on them, nothing happens. Try to copy and past them, same.
