Hi Mike,
Have you done a PRAM reset, CMD+Option+p+r...
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
In fact, do 3 in a row, takes a bit of time.
Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.
No go..tried the PRAM reset 3 times and also tried re-installing Mountain Lion. The sound worked before I upgraded to Mountain Lion and installed the memory...got to be tied to that.
This is my first MAC in the household so, I am learning everything as I go.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Mike
Mike, did the/any output show up in MIDi Setup?
The MIDi setup is identical to my other daughters iMac (same machine, same upgrades, and it works fine)...
Sorry, I was asking what showed as output there exactly?
Sorry, drrrrrr
built in output 44100.0 Hz 2ch-24 bit integer
Is this what you are asking for?
In the MIDi studio I have icons for a IAC Driver, Network and New External Device
Yes, thanks, not sure what the problem is still, I assume the volume there is at max?
Yes, very frustrating :-/
