I recently purchased an iphone 5 and an adapter so I can connect to my iD95 ihome. Unfortunatly the app for this ihome to set alarms and play music isnt detecting the ihome itself. How can i fix this problem?

I have an Iphone 5 and i have the iD95 Ihome. I bought an adapter so i can connect the new 5 pin to the 30 pin iHome. My app for the iHome will not detect the new phone. How can i fix this problem? P.S. it does detect my old iphone 4 when i plug it in!! Please Help!!!! Thanks.
