Transfer Garageband for iPad song to GarageBand for Mac Book Pro

Hello,

Have been creating some songs on bot GarageBand for iPad and Mac book pro. A question.

I wanted to know if its possible to begin working on a song on GarageBand for iPad and then transfer it to my macbookpro to continue working on the song. I have tried and in conversion it always converts for a mp file.

He to solve this problem?

Yes, you can send a GarageBand project from your iPad to your iMac. Share it to iTunes.

See: http://help.apple.com/garageband/ipad/1.0/index.html#chsec12c387

Send a GarageBand song to iTunes:

  • Tap the My Songs button, then tap the Export Song button User uploaded file.
  • Tap "Send to iTunes".
  • To send the song as a GarageBand song, tap GarageBand.
(Don't tap AAC, this will send the song as an audio file, not as a project).
The next time you sync your iPad, the exported song appears in the GarageBand Documents list under File Sharing, if GarageBand is installed on your computer.
  • On ypour Mac do one of the following:
    • Drag the song from the GarageBand Documents list to the Finder.
    • Or Click Save As, navigate to the location where you want to save the song, then click Save.

When you open the project in GarageBAnd on your Mac, it may take some time, because it will be converted to a new format. You need GarageBand '11 on your Mac.

You can also "grab" the GarageBand Song from the "back door"

If you sync your iPad GarageBand Songs to iCloud, then those files will be stored automatically on your desktop in a special iCloud folder. Just copy any Song from that folder to a new Finder folder and open it in GarageBand 11. This way, you don't have to use the cumbersome iTunes File Sharing procedure. It is so much faster.

Here is the path on your local Library directory

"username"/Library/Mobile Documents/"some weired characters ending in" mobilegarageband/Documents

Hope that helps
