ibook g4 office

My Mac ibook G4 does not have an office softwares such as Excel, word, etc. How do i fix this? I downloaded open office but won't work. It says no application to open this. I also tried to install firefox or internert explorer but it says not supported.

iBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Hello,


It sound like your have downloaded newer versions of Open Office which will only run on a Mac with the Intel

processor. As your iBook has a PPC processor, you need to look for older supported versions of Open Office.


You can get older version for PPC here:

http://www.openoffice.org/download/legacy/other.html


You could install Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, but you would need to buy a copy.


Neo Office is another that would work with your iBook http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php
