Why is my Apple TV able to connect to the wireless but not the Internet?

I cannot connect to the Internet! It's so frustrating it says it can connect to the wireless but not the Internet I know I have a signal because I have my laptop and iPad connected and working fine but its just Apple TV that cannot connect! Also when I continued without Internet it wouldn't let me sign in with my apple id even though I know it was right is this because I wasn't connected to the Internet? Someone help me please

Just a thought, that it might be a firewall issue. You could try port forwarding in your router.. I have forwarded ports 123, 3689, 5353 and 53 for my Apple TV ip address. I've noticed a lot of people recommending port 123, which might be a good place to start.

If you're new to port forwarding it can be a bit challenging to grasp. It kind of punches a hole through your firewall.
