spotlight first indexing work not

Hi

10.6.8-Srv with FMS11 and a FMP11-client with the mail-it-plugin (slave-job):

- by downloading Emails all attachments go on a sharedVolume (on a other 10.6.8-Srv over afp)

- incoming new PDFs are not indexed!

- mdutil -E , mdutil -i OFF /ON are tryed 100x and work for 10min

- ACL-rights are controlled by Apple EMEA-de-Support

* by duplicate a new PDF, after 10sec the spotlight-search-result work

* new incoming PDFs are not indexed

Any tips?

Hi UptimeJeff

*

thanks for the link

- the re-indexing work fine (Finder: duplicate a PDF and search a keyword)

=> the first-indexing work not (generated with mail-it on a share)

--> the programmer mean:

the plug-in doesn't cooperate with Spotlight service in any way. The plug-in creates files on a regular basis, using system standard API. Therefore, if Spotlight service doesn't index it, you would need to adjust the Spotlight settings. There is no difference in file API used by Mailit 4 and Mailit 5.

Kind regards,

Bogdan.
