ipad 2 not charging tried mains /usb even replaced charging connector 'battery sign comes up as it is charging but nothing happens
iPad 2, iOS 6.0.2, battery sign comes up
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

still nothing tried holding bot buttons ipasd switchs off and on with no apple logo but with same battery sign red in color like reseve battery but not charging
If you've swapped out the cable and the charger itself, and are using the wall charger, it might be the connector on the device, a hardware issue Might be time for a trip to the Genius bar.
