i was told to hard boot and my ipad still wont turn on

someone in the community suggested i reboot my ipad (hold on off switch and home button) i did but now it wont turn back on.

i held the home button, i held the on off button, i held both, still dark screen, what should i do??

Could your battery be dead? Plug your iPad into the charger and plug into a known good wall outlet and leave it plugged in overnight. Then press and hold only the sleep/ wake button and see if it starts up.

Are you sure that the battery has a charge? You might want to try recharging the battery for a while and try the reboot again. If that doesn't work, you can try restoring the device.

Look at this now - none of the other steps worked, so don't be put off by that sentence.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes

Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode
