Problem with Contacts main page on my iPad Mini

Hi,

I encountered a peculiar problem this afternoon when I opened the contacts on my iPad mini. Earlier the main page would fill up the entire screen; but now to my shock, I see that the size of the main page has shrunk. Now there is approximately an inch gap on the top and bottom.

My friend too has encountered this problem. It did not exist on starting our iPad Mini when we bought them.

What do we do to revert the size to fit the entire screen?

In portrait orientation (Home button at the bottom of the iPad), the Contacts app will show space both above and below. In Landscape mode, it fills the entire screen. That is normal behavior for the app.
