can anyone help please i am having trouble with my apple tv to play dvd on apple tv when i put dvd in it plays but when i go to the apple icon at the top i just get a black and white screen this used to work but for some resaon its not working i have tryed reset apple tv please help as this is getting to me now

Apple's DVD player blocks playback by AirPlay, try VLC instead.
i have vlc and its awful when playing in skips so wont use it but why did it work then not work dontunders this you should be able to use your dvd in mac pro
I think you may be mistaken about it working previously or perhaps it was an unprotected DVD. It's blocked because it might be possible to record the stream and thereby circumvent copy protection.
