My iPhone 5 will not connect to wifi and when it does randomly connect it will not work

My iPhone 5 will not connect to wifi and when it does randomly connect it will not work.

I have tried it on several peoples networks and none work

My iPad 2 worked on all the networks

I have the latest operating system on both devices

What's going on?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2
