I have an iPod with click wheel that is 5-6 years old,

I have an iPod with click wheel that is 5-6 years old, it was seldom used, not more that 20 times or so. I charged it up yesterday and it was working fine. I downloaded some new songs and everything seemed perfect. Doesn't work now and when I plug it into my computor it is not recognized. I went throguh the Apple troubleshooting guide and nothing helped.

Any suggestions?
