I have to reinstall FC Studio 2.0.1 on my 10.6.8 IMac after having my original IMac HD recalled and replaced. It worked fine on my original HD. Now it gives the error message: "The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail." What gives?

FCP hates you. You destroyed it's original home and are trying to placate it with a new shiny BIGGER one. It doesn't want that. It wants it's old home back. It was cozy.
ACTUALLY, I'm given to understand that FCP bonds somehow with the logic board. You might try downloading FCPuninstaller from digitalrebellion.com.
Run that then re-install. That should probably do the trick.
