is great because it will show you which services are available for which carriers. Since it appears, though, that is has not been updated to reflect Straight Talk in the U.S., does anybody know when it will be updated?
My particular question is - does Straight Talk (the iPhone 5 (A1429 CDMA from Walmart)) service offer Visual Voicemail?

Doubful that Straight Talk will ever be supported by Apple. Since Straight Talk rents spectrum from AT&T, and AT&T is an official carrier, I don't see this ever happening.
Visual Voicemail is not available on Straight Talk, at the present time.
Apparently, it is and Apple is just a little slow updating the list.
Sounds like it's a CDMA phone piggybacking on the Verizon network. VVM included, but no LTE. And draconian TOS that prohibit streaming audio and video on the cellular network...
Walmart owns Straight Talk & also sells the iPhone. That doesn't mean that Straight Talk will ever be a supported carrier.

Straight Talk tech support is also telling me that Visual Voicemail is supported. And, I have been reading from others that have bought the phone (including screenshots) that VVM is working for them. But, as I have been going back and forth with their tech support in emails, my paticular phone is having problems with VVM.
So, in my research to solve my problem I came across this article by Apple. I was hoping that this article would provide the definitive answer for me. But, it appears that it has yet to be updated to include Straight Talk.
While I realize that Straight Talk is an MVNO, so is Virgin Mobile USA (and some other carriers in other countries that I am familiar with that are on the list).
So, it would appear logical to NOT exclude Straight Talk simply because they are an MVNO?
Well, if they're not, and it is a CDMA phone, somebody's got some splainin' to do...

I believe they began selling a CDMA Straight Talk iPhone on January 12th. I was behind also and someone corrected my on the 12th.
Besides the other limitations mentioned here you also cannot tether on Straight Talk.
I have the iPhone5 from straight Talk and have all the features I did when i was with Att and Sprint, even my visual voicemail.
Do you have LTE?
m1k313, Did you get CDMA or GSM? It sounds like most people are reporting their Straight Talk iPhone 5 is CDMA, but I'm curious since you apparently got ALL of the fetures, including visual voicemail, which one you got.
It's been months and I have returned my Straight Talk iPhone to Walmart. But, it is interesting to see that Apple did finally update the support page that I referenced in this thread. Now Straight Talk is listed! AND it states that they support Visual Voicemail. And to think that Straight Talk's own support team INSISTED that Visual Voicemail is NOT supported (I still have the email). SMH
