I forgot my ipod passcode

So i forgot my passcode. And i tried unlocking it but now it says 'Ipod is disabled Connect to itunes' but whenever I connect it to itunes it says Ipod cannot connect to itunes because the ipod is locked unlock the ipod to connect to itunes. But i dont know the passcode and if i did it would not let me because it doesnt show me the unlock ipod sign. But i dont remember my passcode at all.
