How can I fixed an app that says An Error Has Occurred and it does not reinstall because the download was damaged?

I don't know why but I can't download Borderlands GOTY. I tried and it says this product is damaged please reinstall borderlands GOTY. I tried once again and it said the same thing. Then I tried a third time and now it won't install. It just says reinstall app in the Purchases list.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 399 GB out of 500 GB left

Restore it with a TimeMachine backup if you have used it previously.

If not delete all references to it, empty the trash, clear browser history, try a different browser.

Maybe try a faster internet connection to successfully download.
