App store keeps on updating apps after they have been updated already in a previous session, showing the same updates as the time before.
Somehow doesn't recognize the update installed.

Just 'Pages', iBook Author and a Solitaire game.
After updating, a day later it shows that they need to be updated again. An Apple support person told me to uninstall the particular apps and then redownload these apps from the store. This should solve the problem according to her.
Next time they show up for updating, I will try this.
I'm not fully sure this will solve it, but at least we don't have to second guess later. If it doesn't work, we can try a few other things.
Your Apple store contact is right, particularly if the apps are Apple apps. Just make sure they are fully deleted (not copied into other parts of your machine); you can always check via spotlight or ensure by using AppCleaner.
As you will have paid for them, the re-install will of course, be free. This method has always worked for me.
Thanks all for your input. I believe the issue is resolved. The 'update apps' reminder has not reoccurred.
