if i use itunes match will i have to recreate playlists already on my phone and iPad

I have subscribed to itunes match. I understand if I use itunes match on my iphone 5 or iPad all the music I have loaded

will be replaced. Will my playlists be deleted? Or will they remain and fill with the matched songs?

iPhone 5, Mac OS X (10.6.2), ipad
