can not find my movie rentals
MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
I've been following the thread of folks with the same problem. I've tried everything. Itunes updated to 11.0.02, still cannot find my movie rentals. The tab across the top in my movies library says; Unwatched - Movies - Genres - Home Viedeos - List... that's it. No Rentals. Very, very frustrating.
Same issue here. Just rented a movie and it's not showing up. Great update. Break what works. Frustrating for a Friday night.
Same is happening to me try going to the settings on the home screen and choosing the iTunes Store. When I hit that there is a place that says "check for rentals" I hit that and it's been thinking for about 5 mins now :/
I logged off of my Apple TV and signed back in. I went to movies and my rental was there, good luck!
I rented 2 movies and have only been able to find one of them. I unplugged my device, logged out and only one showed up. I cant even find them on my computer. Something is screwy!😕
What's happening here guys, is this a trial n error program or what? I have been charged with the 2 rentals but viewed none of them. Where do I stand?
Since Apple hs been unresponsive here try what just worked for me:login and logout and then check. You should then see your rentals.
Thanks, maingeek, after way too much grief, I tried your solution and by golly, it worked. Thanks.
New to Apple so this maybe already widely known but I was under the impression that if I rented movies at the itunes store on my mac they would then be visible when logged into my account on Apple TV. After talking to support this is not the case. Once rented on your mac you can only then view them by using the airplay feature through the mac.
Hope this helps any newbies like me...
Oh, I am about to give up,on renting from iTunes ever again
i had two movies rented that never downloaded
When I was able to get to them through the video app by clicking on a non-descript gray square, I got a message saying I had already rented the movie but, never downloaded it
i did read some of this thread and tried to find them under downloads in the iTunes app but, neither showed up
i was finally able to get a callback from Apple support snd the guy told me a refund would show up for them
i just needed to rer-rent them again from the store
That worked for one
The second I still have not been able to watch I tried renting it again twice but, still the same message that I have already rented the movie but, it hasn't been downloaded
Yeah, I know now what do I do? i have wasted too much time and money trying to watch two movies over the last monthMy frustration level is high I am using an i Pad2 with iOs 7.01
Neither showed up
I have not had this happen before. Although I have only rented a few movies. I rented one movie started watching it 15 minutes into the movie it stopped. It is not in my library on my mac computer. The library says you have no purchased movies. However my account records the name and that I have paid for it. The So I tried another movie. This one was on special I wasn't going to waste more money. Started watching it and ten minutes into the movie it stopped. Same thing. It is not saved in my library on itunes, you have no purchased movies. My account says I have paid for it. As I can start watching movies immediately due to the speed of my connection while they are downloading. I am wondering if the downloading just stops??? do I have to ring apple support and ask for a refund? It is beyond frustration. I won't be renting or purchasing movies from itunes again unless I can get a guarantee you get what you purchase.
This beyond *****. Have logged off and back on. Safe booted computer. yada yada. Rented movie shows up as "purchased" in the Account settings. Rentals as a setting or category are nowhere to be seen. Movie is nowhere. This is second straight time. Apple *****. itunes is designed by people who love traffic jams. Awful.
If you didn't rent it from that specfic device you will not find it
I suffered the same frustration until I decided to play a movie I purchased from iTunes. This launched Videos on the bottoms of the home screen here it shows Movies and Rentals. Viola
I went to movies I'd previously purchased. Clicked one of my films, at the top of the screen, tabs appeared showing a few tabs, click 'rented'. That's it.
can not find my rentals
