Q: how do I update my 2010 MacBook Pro so I can use Air play Mirroring

How do I update my 2010 MacBook Pro so I can use Air play Mirroring, I have just purchased Apple TV and I am trying to mirror what Is on my MacBook Pro screen to my a TV via the Apple TV, however It seems Airplay Mirroring Is only availeble on MacBook Pro from Mid 2011, as mine Is 2010 how do I update my MacBook Pro to have Airplay Mirroring.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

     

    Your computer isn't compatible with AirPlay Mirroring because it requires an Early 2011 or later MacBook Pro. Instead, you can use AirParrot to stream your MacBook Pro onto the Apple TV > http://www.airparrot.com

     

    It does the same, but it's not built-in and it's compatible with all Macs with OS X 10.6 or newer
