Q: app store icon says I have 2 updates but no updates available

The icon on the dock shows 2 updates available but when I click on the app store, in updates, the app states no updates available.

How do I take away that 2 on the dock app store icon ?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
