wireless keyboard with non responding keys,

I followed the steps in the article here for troubleshooting wireless keyboard. But when I got to step #8, the keys did not respond. The article sort of just assumes things will respond and doesn't go any further. Is there anything else to do or do I simply need a new keyboard? Thanks! I'm missing about 3 letters (y, c, v) and having trouble with a few others. It started after I cleaned the keyboard, so I suspect I messed it up. (currently using an old plug in board, which is definitely a temporary solution only)

Cleaning the keyboard could indeed have caused the problem. Have you done the Aluminum Keyboard firmware update?
