Q: Trying to connect PC toshiba 3T external via Apple Airport Extreme. Anyone know how to make this happen?

Trying to activate a Toshiba 3T external hard drive for home network access.

    Format the Toshiba to either Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or FAT32 format (preferably Mac OS Extended). Then plug it into your Extreme. It should appear in the Finder under Shared as the name of your Extreme.

    Since the USB port on the AirPort Extreme is under powered...if the hard drive does not appear in the Finder, you may likely need to use a powered USB hub with the hard drive....even if the hard drive has its own power supply.
