MBP died and adapter is softly blinking orange and green. Please help!?

My MBP was bought in July 2011 and has been working great so far. Today the MBP has been on the power cord all day (it usually is as I rarely take it anywhere) and all of a sudden it died. The battery indicator on the side doesn't do anything and I cannot turn it back on. The adapter is giving soft orange and green lights (about 10% of the normal lighting). I have tried SMC and pretty much any basic solution but the MBP stays dead. Living in The Netherlands means there is only 1 Apple store (in Amsterdam) so that is not really an option for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution other than going to the Apple stor or an AAR? My schoolwork is on there and I need to hand in that paper on Tuesday so I am in kind of a hurry.

Thank you for helpen me out!

As it turned out, there were 2 possibilities:

1: the magsafe port has to be replaced, which would set me back 50 euro (about 65 USD)

2: the logic board has to be replaced, which would set me back about 450 euro (about 550 USD).

Fortunately it was possibility 1, so I have picked up my MBP again on Thursday and I am happy again.

On a different note: I think this should not have happened to a MBP of 17 months old and when I asked about the warranty (which is different in The Netherlands, Europe, and US) they told me about a crazy procedure (I had to go to an AASP and ask for a form that they don't have at the Apple Store themselves?????) including investigation costs if I wanted to 'complain'. In this case I paid it myself, but if the logic board had to be replaced, I would have looked into it deeper. This has definitely caused a bitter taste in my mouth about Apple.
